Van Ginneken thrilled with podium result The Victorian Title is one of the most prestigious events on the Victorian calendar for Sprintcars. For Tim Van Ginneken, last weekend at Avalon Raceway for the 2012–13 season running of the event it brought him a career–best result. In only his second season in Sprintcars, Van Ginneken managed to qualify on pole position for the Victorian Title deciding feature race, then lead the feature race field for 20 of the 30 laps, before being passed by eventual winner Darren Mollenoyux, and ending up with a second–place finish on the podium. “We’ve had a mix run of results this season, so to record a podium finish in the Victorian Title is an outstanding result and great for our team’s confidence,” expressed the 26-year-old racer from Warrnambool, Victoria. “I was feeling confident out in front of the feature race field, but struggled a bit towards the end there in lapped traffic, which allowed Darren [Mollenoyux] to make a pass on me for the lead. To be honest, if I was going to finish second to anyone, I’m glad it’s to Molly [Darren Mollenoyux]; as he’s not only a good mate of mine but someone who has helped me a lot with my step into Sprintcars.” Earlier in the night, the Vic # 86 Lowes Auto Repairs and Meehan Race Engines supported QT driver qualified eighth in time trials, followed by a hard charging win in his heat race after starting from the third row, and then earned his right to start from pole position in the feature race by winning the dash. Daniel Keen turned the heads of a lot of racers at the Vic Title as he claimed a couple of heat race wins and had the fastest lap time of 14.035 for the nite where there was 65 racers.Daniel started off the front row with Macaliffe,and showed cosistant speed as the more experienced Jeff Judd took control daniel continued to follow and learn more and more with only have 1 years experience in this class daniel was then passed by the xA1 Daryl Clayden and continued his race where at the last few laps Daniel had gained more car speed and was stamping his name again and was knocking on the door for 1st or 2nd as the car was coming on again .As the race finished all 3 cars were that close you could throw a blanket over them.Well done to the Keen Racing team.…

Mud claims victory from shaun after the tap was hit by mud whilst battling very hard with Kerry Madsen at the plex.Shaun states that the car was fast if not faster than Kerry as we were slide jobbing each other for the lead. Peter Lack in the GandW Racing team showed good form on saturday nite by qaulifying in 7th position and then from the heats peter started from 7th to move one spot to 6th on a very fast race track and then in the second round of heats peter moved from 5th to 2nd and then gave him a dash draw off the infeild,where peter finished 2nd.A main time peter was consisitent through out the race and only moved a couple of spots to finish in 4th in front QT Racer Allan Woods who finished 5th in front of Danny Reidy.…

Paul Rooks at BIS had a mixed night as he was fast and has been fast over the pass few shows ,for 2 meetings in a row now Paul has made the dash and at the previous show due to magneeto problems that wqas the end of his night.On saturday at BIS Paul started from 2 in the dash and the come feature race time was up the front end .The feature came to a very quick end when a car made contact with Paul and the QT car was spinning sideways along the back Straight where the Q49  car rode the wheel of a another car and torpedoed him strait up and came back to terraferma from 20 ft up and landed in the side of the roll cage.Paul Rooks made a comment that the QT car done its job very nicely as the safety of them worked a treat,unfortunitly we have to rebuild a new QT-XT model for this weekend at Toowoomba for the state title.…

Martin Lawes in the Tyrepower -QT car finishes with another podium for this season.Martin started from position 2 in the first heat and then won this heat.Heat 2 started from 9 and finished 6th which made martin 7th in points and then the draw was done by drivers where Martin was allocated to position 3 to start the feature.Martin raced a consistent race where he finished a creditible 3rd.The car was a new frame for the night so it prooves that the cars are the same.Martin is happy that the cars are the same on the track.…

Lee Nash continues his total domination of Wingless racing in the West on Sat night 12/3 Lee won his eighth straight feature since changing to a QT chassis, after an opening night crash in which his car was destroyed and he injured. In his first heat Lee started on the fifth row and passed high and low as he carved his way through the feild where he finished 2nd falling short by inch's, the winner started on the front row. Lee won his second heat which made him top point scorer and a front row start for the feature.Lee led every lap of the feature and won comfortably setting fastest lap of 17.03 Lee has won his features at three totally different tracks Bunbury- Geraldton- Perth Motor Plex with our base set up good for all these tracks Lee said.…

Shaun Bradford breaks through with a win in the QT Chassis at the motorplex on saturday march 12th.Shaun was very happy with the car and new the win wasnt far away goin off his recent form since using the QT chassis.The car was awsome again i could put it anywhere on the track and it would do what i wanted,Shaun went on to thank Daryl Clayden who is the agent in WA for the chassis and also thanked Allan Woods for the continous feedback and calls .…
