TIM VANGINIKEN ON FIRE AT AVALON

Van Ginneken thrilled with podium result The Victorian Title is one of the most prestigious events on the Victorian calendar for Sprintcars. For Tim Van Ginneken, last weekend at Avalon Raceway for the 2012–13 season running of the event it brought him a career–best result. In only his second season in Sprintcars, Van Ginneken managed to qualify on pole position for the Victorian Title deciding feature race, then lead the feature race field for 20 of the 30 laps, before being passed by eventual winner Darren Mollenoyux, and ending up with a second–place finish on the podium. “We’ve had a mix run of results this season, so to record a podium finish in the Victorian Title is an outstanding result and great for our team’s confidence,” expressed the 26-year-old racer from Warrnambool, Victoria. “I was feeling confident out in front of the feature race field, but struggled a bit towards the end there in lapped traffic, which allowed Darren [Mollenoyux] to make a pass on me for the lead. To be honest, if I was going to finish second to anyone, I’m glad it’s to Molly [Darren Mollenoyux]; as he’s not only a good mate of mine but someone who has helped me a lot with my step into Sprintcars.” Earlier in the night, the Vic # 86 Lowes Auto Repairs and Meehan Race Engines supported QT driver qualified eighth in time trials, followed by a hard charging win in his heat race after starting from the third row, and then earned his right to start from pole position in the feature race by winning the dash. Van Ginneken performed double duties on the night by stepping into the Colin Barker owned Vic # 69 Eagle to contest the Victorian Title for 360 Sprintcars. Van Ginneken qualified fourth in time…

Matt claimed the feature ahead of WSS Brooke Tatnell at SWC on the 19th november.Matt makes comment that the car and shock package from QT are awsome and he could drive the car anywhere ,he moved forward in his first heat to bag some points and the won the second heat with the scales being kind to him.Matt started the A main from position 3 where he had to move forward to take the win .

Mud claims victory from shaun after the tap was hit by mud whilst battling very hard with Kerry Madsen at the plex.Shaun states that the car was fast if not faster than Kerry as we were slide jobbing each other for the lead. The motor stopped and then the race was done unfortunately as i beleive we had the race in the bag as the car was awsome .Shaun now has 3 weeks in a row to race and as well as the Bonza memorial race .Good luck to the team .

Robbie Farr and Andrew Shuerle finished on the podium at Maryborough on the weekend using the QT Shock Packages that are available.Well done to both teams on you 1-2 finsh in the Qld club show .

Congratulations to Dave and the team at BIS on the 12-11-11.Dave won the 1st heat and ran 2nd in the next heat where he was top point scorer and then the dash was inverted where dave finished 2nd.Feature was dominated by dave as he led the whole 20 laps .Well done to the Robmac Racing team .
